Quran 18:6 — Al-Kahf, verse 6

But [Prophet] are you going to worry yourself to death over them if they do not believe in this message?
فَلَعَلَّكَ بَاخِعٌ نَفْسَكَ عَلَىٰ آثَارِهِمْ إِنْ لَمْ يُؤْمِنُوا بِهَـٰذَا الْحَدِيثِ أَسَفًا
falaʿallaka bākhiʿun nafsaka ʿalā āthārihim in lam yu'minū bihādhā l-ḥadīthi asafan

- Yet perchance, if they believe not in this tiding, thou wilt consume thyself, following after them, of grief.

- But wouldst thou, perhaps, torment thyself to death with grief over them if they are not willing to believe in this message?
- Sahih International
- Then perhaps you would kill yourself through grief over them, [O Muḥammad], if they do not believe in this message, [and] out of sorrow.
