Quran 2:72 — Al-Baqara, verse 72

Then, when you [Israelites] killed someone and started to blame one another- although God was to bring what you had concealed to light-
وَإِذْ قَتَلْتُمْ نَفْسًا فَادَّارَأْتُمْ فِيهَا ۖ وَاللَّهُ مُخْرِجٌ مَا كُنْتُمْ تَكْتُمُونَ
wa-idh qataltum nafsan fa-iddāratum fīhā wal-lahu mukh'rijun mā kuntum taktumūna
Other translations

- And when you killed a living soul, and disputed thereon -- and God disclosed what you were hiding --

- For, O children of Israel, because you had slain a human being and then cast the blame for this [crime] upon one another -although God will bring to light what you would conceals

- And [recall] when you slew a man and disputed over it, but Allāh was to bring out that which you were concealing.
