Quran 4:112An-Nisaa, verse 112

and anyone who commits an offence or a sin, and then throws the blame on to some innocent person, has burdened himself with deceit as well as flagrant sin.

وَمَنْ يَكْسِبْ خَطِيئَةً أَوْ إِثْمًا ثُمَّ يَرْمِ بِهِ بَرِيئًا فَقَدِ احْتَمَلَ بُهْتَانًا وَإِثْمًا مُبِينًا

waman yaksib khaṭīatan aw ith'man thumma yarmi bihi barīan faqadi iḥ'tamala buh'tānan wa-ith'man mubīnan
