but they rebelled against their Lord’s command, so the blast took them. They looked on helplessly:
فَعَتَوْا عَنْ أَمْرِ رَبِّهِمْ فَأَخَذَتْهُمُ الصَّاعِقَةُ وَهُمْ يَنْظُرُونَ
faʿataw ʿan amri rabbihim fa-akhadhathumu l-ṣāʿiqatu wahum yanẓurūna

- Then they turned in disdain from the commandment of their Lord, and the thunderbolt took them and they themselves beholding
