and early in the morning a punishment seized them that still remains-
وَلَقَدْ صَبَّحَهُمْ بُكْرَةً عَذَابٌ مُسْتَقِرٌّ
walaqad ṣabbaḥahum buk'ratan ʿadhābun mus'taqirrun
