Quran 9:51 — At-Tawba, verse 51

Say, ‘Only what God has decreed will happen to us. He is our Master: let the believers put their trust in God.’
قُلْ لَنْ يُصِيبَنَا إِلَّا مَا كَتَبَ اللَّهُ لَنَا هُوَ مَوْلَانَا ۚ وَعَلَى اللَّهِ فَلْيَتَوَكَّلِ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ
qul lan yuṣībanā illā mā kataba l-lahu lanā huwa mawlānā waʿalā l-lahi falyatawakkali l-mu'minūna

- Say: "Never can anything befall us save what God has decreed! He is our Lord Supreme; and in God let the believers place their trust!"

- Say, "Never will we be struck except by what Allāh has decreed for us; He is our protector." And upon Allāh let the believers rely.
