Quran 12:44 — Yusuf, verse 44

They said, ‘These are confusing dreams and we are not skilled at dream-interpretation,’
قَالُوا أَضْغَاثُ أَحْلَامٍ ۖ وَمَا نَحْنُ بِتَأْوِيلِ الْأَحْلَامِ بِعَالِمِينَ
qālū aḍghāthu aḥlāmin wamā naḥnu bitawīli l-aḥlāmi biʿālimīna

- 'A hotchpotch of nightmares!' they said. 'We know nothing of the interpretation of nightmares.'

- They answered: " [This is one of] the most involved and confusing of dreams, and we have no deep knowledge of the real meaning of dreams."

- They said, "[It is but] a mixture of false dreams, and we are not learned in the interpretation of dreams."
