Quran 12:91 — Yusuf, verse 91

They said, ‘By God! God really did favour you over all of us and we were in the wrong!’
قَالُوا تَاللَّهِ لَقَدْ آثَرَكَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْنَا وَإِنْ كُنَّا لَخَاطِئِينَ
qālū tal-lahi laqad ātharaka l-lahu ʿalaynā wa-in kunnā lakhāṭiīna

- 'By God,' they said, 'God has indeed preferred thee above us, and certainly we have been sinful.'

- [The brothers] said: "By God! Most certainly has God raised thee high above us, and we were indeed but sinners!"
