There is [a kind of] man whose views on the life of this world may please you [Prophet], he even calls on God to witness what is in his heart, yet he is the bitterest of opponents.

وَمِنَ النَّاسِ مَنْ يُعْجِبُكَ قَوْلُهُ فِي الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا وَيُشْهِدُ اللَّهَ عَلَىٰ مَا فِي قَلْبِهِ وَهُوَ أَلَدُّ الْخِصَامِ

wamina l-nāsi man yuʿ'jibuka qawluhu fī l-ḥayati l-dun'yā wayush'hidu l-laha ʿalā mā fī qalbihi wahuwa aladdu l-khiṣāmi
