Quran 21:15 — Al-Anbiyaa, verse 15

and that cry of theirs did not cease until We made them burnt-offstubble.
فَمَا زَالَتْ تِلْكَ دَعْوَاهُمْ حَتَّىٰ جَعَلْنَاهُمْ حَصِيدًا خَامِدِينَ
famā zālat til'ka daʿwāhum ḥattā jaʿalnāhum ḥaṣīdan khāmidīna

- So they ceased not to cry, until We made them stubble, silent and still.

- And that cry of theirs did not cease until We caused them to become [like] a field mown down, still and silent as ashes.

- And that declaration of theirs did not cease until We made them [as] a harvest [mowed down], extinguished [like a fire].
