she was prevented by what she worshipped instead of God, for she came from a disbelieving people.’
وَصَدَّهَا مَا كَانَتْ تَعْبُدُ مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ ۖ إِنَّهَا كَانَتْ مِنْ قَوْمٍ كَافِرِينَ
waṣaddahā mā kānat taʿbudu min dūni l-lahi innahā kānat min qawmin kāfirīna

- but that she served, apart from God, barred her, for she was of a people of unbelievers.'

- [And she has recognized the truth] although that which she has been wont to worship instead of God had kept her away [from the right path]: for, behold, she is descended of people who deny the truth!”
