Quran 41:23 — Fussilat, verse 23

so it was the thoughts you entertained about your Lord that led to your ruin, and you became losers.’
وَذَٰلِكُمْ ظَنُّكُمُ الَّذِي ظَنَنْتُمْ بِرَبِّكُمْ أَرْدَاكُمْ فَأَصْبَحْتُمْ مِنَ الْخَاسِرِينَ
wadhālikum ẓannukumu alladhī ẓanantum birabbikum ardākum fa-aṣbaḥtum mina l-khāsirīna

- That then, the thought you thought about your Lord, has destroyed you, and therefore you find yourselves this morning among the losers.'

- and that very thought which you thought about your Sustainer has brought you to perdition, and so now you find yourselves among the lost!”

- And that was your assumption which you assumed about your Lord. It has brought you to ruin, and you have become among the losers."
