Quran 47:23 — Muhammad, verse 23

These are the ones God has rejected, making their ears deaf and their eyes blind.
أُولَـٰئِكَ الَّذِينَ لَعَنَهُمُ اللَّهُ فَأَصَمَّهُمْ وَأَعْمَىٰ أَبْصَارَهُمْ
ulāika alladhīna laʿanahumu l-lahu fa-aṣammahum wa-aʿmā abṣārahum
Other translations

- Those are they whom God has cursed, and so made them deaf, and blinded their eyes.
- Muhammad Asad
- It is such as these whom God rejects, and whom He makes deaf [to the voice of truth], and whose eyes He blinds [to its sight]!
- Sahih International
- Those [who do so] are the ones that Allāh has cursed, so He deafened them and blinded their vision.
