We released a single mighty blast against them and they ended up like a fencemaker’s dry sticks.
إِنَّا أَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ صَيْحَةً وَاحِدَةً فَكَانُوا كَهَشِيمِ الْمُحْتَظِرِ
innā arsalnā ʿalayhim ṣayḥatan wāḥidatan fakānū kahashīmi l-muḥ'taẓiri

- Behold, We let loose upon them one single blast [of Our punishment], and they became like the dried-up, crumbling twigs of a sheepfold.

- Indeed, We sent upon them one shriek [i.e., blast from the sky], and they became like the dry twig fragments of an [animal] pen.
