Quran 6:107 — Al-An'aam, verse 107

If it had been God’s will, they would not have done so, but We have not made you their guardian, nor are you their keeper.
وَلَوْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ مَا أَشْرَكُوا ۗ وَمَا جَعَلْنَاكَ عَلَيْهِمْ حَفِيظًا ۖ وَمَا أَنْتَ عَلَيْهِمْ بِوَكِيلٍ
walaw shāa l-lahu mā ashrakū wamā jaʿalnāka ʿalayhim ḥafīẓan wamā anta ʿalayhim biwakīlin

- Had God willed, they were not idolaters; and We have not appointed thee a watcher over them, neither art thou their guardian.

- Yet if God had so willed, they would not have ascribed divinity to aught beside Him; hence, We have not made thee their keeper, and neither art thou responsible for their conduct.

- But if Allāh had willed, they would not have associated. And We have not appointed you over them as a guardian, nor are you a manager over them.
