They will say, ‘If only we had listened, or reasoned, we would not be with the inhabitants of the blazing fire,’ and
وَقَالُوا لَوْ كُنَّا نَسْمَعُ أَوْ نَعْقِلُ مَا كُنَّا فِي أَصْحَابِ السَّعِيرِ
waqālū law kunnā nasmaʿu aw naʿqilu mā kunnā fī aṣḥābi l-saʿīri

- They also say, 'If we had only heard, or had understood, we would not have been of the inhabitants of the Blaze.'
