We guided him to the right path, whether he was grateful or not.
إِنَّا هَدَيْنَاهُ السَّبِيلَ إِمَّا شَاكِرًا وَإِمَّا كَفُورًا
innā hadaynāhu l-sabīla immā shākiran wa-immā kafūran
