Quran 9:1 — At-Tawba, verse 1

A release by God and His Messenger from the treaty you [believers] made with the idolaters [is announced]––
بَرَاءَةٌ مِنَ اللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ إِلَى الَّذِينَ عَاهَدْتُمْ مِنَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ
barāatun mina l-lahi warasūlihi ilā alladhīna ʿāhadttum mina l-mush'rikīna

- [This is a declaration of] disassociation, from Allāh and His Messenger, to those with whom you had made a treaty among the polytheists.
