those who prefer the life of this world over the life to come, who turn others from God’s way, trying to make it crooked: such people have gone far astray.
الَّذِينَ يَسْتَحِبُّونَ الْحَيَاةَ الدُّنْيَا عَلَى الْآخِرَةِ وَيَصُدُّونَ عَنْ سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ وَيَبْغُونَهَا عِوَجًا ۚ أُولَـٰئِكَ فِي ضَلَالٍ بَعِيدٍ
alladhīna yastaḥibbūna l-ḥayata l-dun'yā ʿalā l-ākhirati wayaṣuddūna ʿan sabīli l-lahi wayabghūnahā ʿiwajan ulāika fī ḍalālin baʿīdin

- awaits those who choose the life of this world as the sole object of their love, preferring it to [all thought of] the life to come, and who turn others away from the path of God and try to make it appear crooked. Such as these have indeed gone far astray!

- The ones who prefer the worldly life over the Hereafter and avert [people] from the way of Allāh, seeking to make it [seem] deviant. Those are in extreme error.
