Quran 19:59 — Maryam, verse 59

but there came after them generations who neglected prayer and were driven by their own desires. These will come face to face with their evil,
فَخَلَفَ مِنْ بَعْدِهِمْ خَلْفٌ أَضَاعُوا الصَّلَاةَ وَاتَّبَعُوا الشَّهَوَاتِ ۖ فَسَوْفَ يَلْقَوْنَ غَيًّا
fakhalafa min baʿdihim khalfun aḍāʿū l-ṣalata wa-ittabaʿū l-shahawāti fasawfa yalqawna ghayyan

- But there came after them successors [i.e., later generations] who neglected prayer and pursued desires; so they are going to meet evil -
