Quran 19:81 — Maryam, verse 81

They have taken other gods beside God to give them strength,
وَاتَّخَذُوا مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ آلِهَةً لِيَكُونُوا لَهُمْ عِزًّا
wa-ittakhadhū min dūni l-lahi ālihatan liyakūnū lahum ʿizzan

- For [such as] these have taken to worshipping deities other than God, hoping that they would be a [source of] strength for them.
