Do the evildoers think they can escape us? How ill they judge!
أَمْ حَسِبَ الَّذِينَ يَعْمَلُونَ السَّيِّئَاتِ أَنْ يَسْبِقُونَا ۚ سَاءَ مَا يَحْكُمُونَ
am ḥasiba alladhīna yaʿmalūna l-sayiāti an yasbiqūnā sāa mā yaḥkumūna

- Or do they reckon, those who do evil deeds, that they will outstrip Us? Ill they judge!

- Or do they think - they who do evil deeds [while claiming to have attained to faith] - that they can escape Us? Bad, indeed, is their judgment!

- Or do those who do evil deeds think they can outrun [i.e., escape] Us? Evil is what they judge.
