We chose them knowingly above others:
وَلَقَدِ اخْتَرْنَاهُمْ عَلَىٰ عِلْمٍ عَلَى الْعَالَمِينَ
walaqadi ikh'tarnāhum ʿalā ʿil'min ʿalā l-ʿālamīna
