Quran 45:25 — Al-Jaathiya, verse 25

when Our clear revelations are recited to them, is to say, ‘Bring back our forefathers if what you say is true.’
وَإِذَا تُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْهِمْ آيَاتُنَا بَيِّنَاتٍ مَا كَانَ حُجَّتَهُمْ إِلَّا أَنْ قَالُوا ائْتُوا بِآبَائِنَا إِنْ كُنْتُمْ صَادِقِينَ
wa-idhā tut'lā ʿalayhim āyātunā bayyinātin mā kāna ḥujjatahum illā an qālū i'tū biābāinā in kuntum ṣādiqīna

- And when Our signs are recited to them, clear signs, their only argument is that they say, 'Bring us our fathers, if you speak truly.'

- And [so,] whenever Our messages are conveyed to them in all their clarity, their only argument is this: “Bring forth our forefathers [as witnesses], if what you claim is true!”

- And when Our verses are recited to them as clear evidences, their argument is only that they say, "Bring [back] our forefathers, if you should be truthful."
