Quran 2:228Al-Baqara, verse 228

Divorced women must wait for three monthly periods before remarrying, and, if they really believe in God and the Last Day, it is not lawful for them to conceal what God has created in their wombs: their husbands would do better to take them back during this period, provided they wish to put things right. Wives have [rights] similar to their [obligations], according to what is recognized to be fair, and husbands have a degree [of right] over them: [both should remember that] God is almighty and wise.

وَالْمُطَلَّقَاتُ يَتَرَبَّصْنَ بِأَنْفُسِهِنَّ ثَلَاثَةَ قُرُوءٍ ۚ وَلَا يَحِلُّ لَهُنَّ أَنْ يَكْتُمْنَ مَا خَلَقَ اللَّهُ فِي أَرْحَامِهِنَّ إِنْ كُنَّ يُؤْمِنَّ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ ۚ وَبُعُولَتُهُنَّ أَحَقُّ بِرَدِّهِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ إِنْ أَرَادُوا إِصْلَاحًا ۚ وَلَهُنَّ مِثْلُ الَّذِي عَلَيْهِنَّ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ ۚ وَلِلرِّجَالِ عَلَيْهِنَّ دَرَجَةٌ ۗ وَاللَّهُ عَزِيزٌ حَكِيمٌ

wal-muṭalaqātu yatarabbaṣna bi-anfusihinna thalāthata qurūin walā yaḥillu lahunna an yaktum'na mā khalaqa l-lahu fī arḥāmihinna in kunna yu'minna bil-lahi wal-yawmi l-ākhiri wabuʿūlatuhunna aḥaqqu biraddihinna fī dhālika in arādū iṣ'lāḥan walahunna mith'lu alladhī ʿalayhinna bil-maʿrūfi walilrrijāli ʿalayhinna darajatun wal-lahu ʿazīzun ḥakīmun

29إِصْلَـٰحًۭا ۚiṣ'lāḥan(for) reconciliationصلح
30وَلَهُنَّwalahunnaAnd for them
31مِثْلُmith'lu(is the) likeمثل
32ٱلَّذِىalladhī(of) that which
33عَلَيْهِنَّʿalayhinna(is) on them
34بِٱلْمَعْرُوفِ ۚbil-maʿrūfiin a reasonable mannerعرف
35وَلِلرِّجَالِwalilrrijāliand for the menرجل
36عَلَيْهِنَّʿalayhinnaover them
37دَرَجَةٌۭ ۗdarajatun(is) a degreeدرج
38وَٱللَّهُwal-lahuAnd Allahأله
